The platform's unique "image search" feature is worth mentioning. This innovative tool allows researchers to conduct visual comparisons and explorations of artworks, in addition to standard text searches. Zhang shares three representative research outcomes below, which is achieved by using the "image search" feature on the "National Palace Museum Journal Database."
Our marvelous partnership with EVIS can be passed on to the next generation. Since 2003, UDP went from the initial awkward exchanges with their representatives, to now establishing subscriptions with over 300 institutions in more than 30 countries, EVIS has made remarkable contributions and completely transformed UDP's development strategies and direction. Kent, President of EVIS, visited UDP on May 19, 2023. He has willingly declined partnership invitations from leading competitors, just to maintain the relationship with UDP.
In late August 2022, Manager Mr. Chung visited prominent university libraries in Singapore, such as the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. While exploring local curatorial units and cultural events and expanding business opportunities, he also collected a wealth of local historical and cultural data, yielding fruitful results.
In the autumn of 2022, UDP visited Malaysia to meet potential clients and explore new collaboration opportunities. During this visit, there was significant interest from several university libraries, expressing great enthusiasm for our databases on history and culture.
The 55th anniversaries of THCI journal “Thought and Words” took place in June 24 at College of Liberal Arts in National Taiwan University in 2017. UDP’s Editor-in-Chief Nancy Wuu felt highly honoured to deliver the keynote speech — “The Evolution of 'Thought and Words' over the half century — from the perspective of a digital archivist.”

When the emerging technologies have dramatically changed people’s behavior of reading, researching and purchasing, ‘digital publications’ became the new niche market where UDP has been devoted 20 years to producing high-quality digital archives for the disciplines of Sinology, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The digital archiving seminar for the book series of Chinese Humanities took places at the Department of Chinese Literature in Tamkang University. Nancy Wuu, the Editor-in-Chief of UDP, participated in the seminar to discuss the publication launch plan.
