In the autumn of 2022, UDP visited Malaysia to meet potential clients and explore new collaboration opportunities. During this visit, there was significant interest from several university libraries, expressing great enthusiasm for our databases on history and culture.
The first stop was Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) in Penang, along with its school of Chinese studies, which plays a crucial role in the cultural, educational, and economic development of the local community in Penang. Following that, visits were made to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Ipoh, Centre for Malaysian Chinese Studies in Kuala Lumpur, and Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI). Engaging in interviews with local professors and experts, we obtained practical and valuable insights. These insights serves as important references for UDP as we continue to deepen our content, providing more valuable historical and cultural databases to our international clients.
